What to expect at your first visit
Thank you for your interest in Bowers and Oki Family Dentistry! We look forward to meeting you and becoming your partner in oral health.
At your initial dental visit, we complete a comprehensive exam to address your needs and concerns. This includes a review of your medical and dental history, an oral cancer screening, x-rays (as needed), photos, charting of your teeth and gums, a thorough examination of your oral cavity (including an oral cancer screening), joints and muscles, and a conversation about your interests and goals. We will discuss the various treatment recommendations and the alternative treatments available to you. We encourage you to ask questions, as we want you to be informed and comfortable with all aspects of your care. Our financial and insurance coordinators are also happy to review the financial aspects of the proposed treatment options. In some complex cases, we will bring you back for a follow up consult to discuss the treatment plan.
If you would like to schedule your dental cleaning appointment immediately following your initial exam, please call our office so that we may assist you. New patient appointments scheduled online will be for an exam only.
